Product Overview
FCST-FMC14 Fast connector terminates the end of an optical fiber, and enables quicker connection and disconnection than splicing. The connectors mechanically couple and align the cores of fibers so light can pass. Better connectors lose very little light due to reflection or misalignment of the fibers.
Product Advantages
Telcordia style boots.
UL-rated plastic housing.
Free-floating ceramic ferrule.
Ferrule end surface predomed.
Low insertion loss and back reflection loss.
Precision anti-rotation key and corrosion resistant body.
Product Specifications
Construction | Description |
Connector Type | SC |
Polishing | APC |
Ferrule | Ceramic |
Cable Diametres | 1.6/2.0/3.0mm |
Insertion Loss | ≤0.35dB |
Return Loss | ≥50dB |
Tension Test | 1.6mm 10N,2.0mm 20N,3.0mm 50N |
Storage Temperature | -40 to 85°C |
Operating Temperature | -40 to 85°C |
Optical Fiber Cutting Method
Flat Splice Connectors excellent performance for digital transmission networks that require a SC/APC termination, such as an Optical Network Terminal that is pre-installed with an SC/APC interface. SC/APC flat splice connectors provide acceptable analog video performance for indoor applications since the flat splice has a typical refection of -55 dB for room temperatures.
Angle Splice Connectors angle splice connectors are specifically designed for analog video transmission with very low optical refection of <-60 dB across temperature extremes. Based upon laboratory testing, keying of the angle cleaves is important for optical reflection performance.
Applicable forCable type
