Top 15 Global Operators In 2023

The recently released Fortune Global 500 list shows that a total of 15 operators have been selected as the world's top 500 companies. The selection criteria are operating income in 2023. The threshold for the list (minimum sales revenue) has increased from US$30.9 billion to US$32.1 billion. Among them, China's three major operators, China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom, were selected; China Mobile retained the top spot, China Telecom dropped 3 places to 135th, and China Unicom dropped 12 places to 279th. Japan's three major operators, NTT, SoftBank Group, and KDDI, were all selected. The three major American operators, Verizon, AT&T, and Comcast, are powerful, occupying the second, third, and fourth places respectively. In addition, Charter Communications, an operator whose main business is cable television, was selected.
